Cooltone shade cloth caters for the ever-growing demand for protection form the
sun's harmful rays and is approved by the Cancer Association. Because Cooltone
shade cloth is knitted in a polyethylene fabric, it won't rot, run or absorb moisture
and is therefore extremely strong and durable.

1.
Measure and mark pole positioning
on wall and ground; upright poles 12 ft (3,64m) from
wall and 15 ft (4,5m) apart (at center of pole).
2.
Dig foundation
holes at 14 ft (350mm) x 14 ft
(350mm) x14 ft (350mm) deep. 3.
Secure
upright poles in foundation holes by attaching 6 x 6 inch nails around each pole
and pouring in the concrete mixture. Allow concrete to set overnight. 4.
Secure
horizontal front cross pole to upright poles, by drilling cuphead bolt holes at
5 ft (125mm) from top of upright poles.
5.
Attach
L-brackets at a height of 7"5 ft (2,25m) (at
bottom of L-bracket) on the wall using the rawl bolts (at 15"7 ft
(4,71m) apart and one centered between the two.) 6.
Cut
out a section measuring 1"8 inch
(45mm) x 4"8 inch
(120mm) at both ends of the three horizontal poles.
7.
Rest
the three horizontal poles on L-brackets and front cross pole, and secure to L-bracketes
and front cross pole with cuphead bolts (ensure that the cutout section is on
top). 8.
Affix
shade cloth to one half of the structure as follows: Attach shade cloth to the
first tanalith pine plank with galvanised clout nails. Wrap shade cloth around
the plank. First secure plank to the wall side of the outer and middle horizontal
poles. Attach shade cloth to center horizontal pole using galvanised clout nails.
Pull the shade cloth over the side pole until it is taut, and secure with galvanised
clout nails. Cut off excess material. Repeat this process on the other half of
the structure. Cover the galvanised clout nails on the middle and side poles with
the cover strips and using copper clout nails. Your
excess material may be used as a partial side flap.
